unfortunately, makeup specifically for men is a rarity. if you can swallow your pride long enough for a trip to the Clinique counter, the sales people will help you figure out what cover-up will match your skin tone. A good brand I use when I actually bother with concealer is Prescriptives. It's great for coverage and it comes in a tube, so a little bit will go a long way.

I like MAC. If you want something that is not to heavy but gets the job done, try MAC- select cover-up. It comes in a small tube. And it will only sent you back about $15.
I would speak to a beauty consultant In department stores etc.. I do not advice you to use ANY store bought makeup. It's crummy and obviously walmart or a grocery store wont carry make-up for men.
i don't know much about makeup because all we have here is a walmart. but if you look up jay manual from antm...he has his own makeup line. and i think his skin always look wonderful. he has a lot of concealers on his site.

Depending where you live you may be able to find Jean Paul Gaultier make up, it is made specifically for men in his line he has concealer, eyeliner, mascara, bronzers, lip balms etc. plus he makes some great scents! ';le male'; is amazing!
to make concealer look less noticeable put a dab of moisturiser etc. on the area first then blend the concealer in :) this way you dont need a specific brand

My boyfriend likes it when I wear foundation and sometimes eye shadow because he thinks I'm wearing it to make myself more attractive to him. I think he may even have a fetish for it. Men universally should be using moisturizer and lip balm. Beyond that, it depends on the person and their desired look. Concealer is great for helping to hide blemishes or if you have any kind of discoloration under your eyes. Um, they sell clear gel/wax to help tame eyebrow hairs. They don't add color or anything, just keep the bushyness away. Additionally, some guys wear brown mascara to build their lashes without looking obviously made up.
What else? Tinted moisturizers are great to help tone down redness all over, but to keep from looking like you're really wearing makeup.
The key to guy makeup is subtlety. Eyeliner is becoming more popular amongst men in social settings.
As for the girls who have previously responded.....and if the person was gay, what has your response helped??

For a clear face -- using a facial soap to clearn in the morning (to get all the dead skin off) and in the evening (to clean all the oil off) really helps out for starters. Then, try a concealer to cover blemishes. Sometimes, there are powders too, to help if you have blemishes or spots.
Then, if you choose, a nice lip balm works well for keeping lips healthy.
In any event, you should look for concealers and lip balms that have sunscreen (SPF) in it to protect your skin.

For scars and things it's better that both men and women don't cover it with makeup. Using scar removing creams like Bionskincare, Scarzone etc. And these creams last for a long time (unless you have many many many scars).

But, the guys I would go out with were only guys that wanted to get into bed and then they were history. Never saw them again. I did feel cheap. I did feel like a whore when all I really wanted was to be... loved. But my dear, since Jesus came into my life, the ';inner'; beauty you have will show on the outside of you. God has given you wonderful natural beauty. If you aren't ready to give up your makeup, which really is self-centered, try using a lot LESS of it. You'll be amazed at the positive results you will get. I PROMISE!

From my experience of being a boy that works and wears makeup is that it all depends on what type of makeup you鈥檙e looking for and your personality. Rather it鈥檚 Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Benefit, ect. Anybody can wear any type of brand of makeup. It鈥檚 just a matter on how it鈥檚 applied. Now Boy-Makeup in general is only meant to give a guy a more polished look. And at times you can enhance facial feachers as well. The brand that I found the most non noticeable and easiest to apply is Bare Escentuals. The mineral foundation is like a hybrid. The foundation comes in the form of a loss powder but goes on the skin like a liquid. The makeup is very light but still gives a great natural coverage. You鈥檒l receive more complements on having nice skin instead of nice makeup. But if you want something with more of an edge and fierce then go with a brand like MAC. I love that makeup too. If you鈥檙e someone that loves to be more creative and loves change, then you love what make can offer. The only thing is, is that people will notice that you have makeup on. Meh. Its half and half. The guys are gay too and fashion loves the gay personalities... but there are a lot of women that are great at it too. Example: Carmandee on ';What not to Wear';
FYI, it has nothing to do with being gay...
Men, psychologically, are more prone to being artistic. That's why there's so many musicians/artists/etc that are men (perfect example, have a very sexy woman talk to a man who's listening to his favorite band, he will not even hear the woman... that's because men are conditioned to the artsy side of things).
Same goes for makeup, seeing as it's an art. While women are very good at what they do (i've met some amazing makeup artists), men, naturally, have a knack for it. It's an unfortunate loss for women makeup artists :P

Is it okay if i use mineral makeup made for women? It's the same right? Basically i want to cover up my acne scars and uneven skin tone. I don't want to put too much makeup onto my face. I'm sorry this may seem rude, but, women already get men to degrade themselves by having houses full of decoration, pillows that can't be used on beds that need to be taken off before sleep and put back on in the morning. Seems like a lot off unneeded work, especially when you never really tour your bedroom out to people. Also, god help you if you use the decorations in the bathroom. That soap that can't be used but you bought it anyway. women do a lot of things men don't get that make things look prettier. (those are only two) seems like men are the ones that have to fix them when they get messed up and get yelled at for it. to put make up on us, is, wrong. more than degrading.

Smoky eyes have to compete with neutrals. Makeup has become much more about women impressing other women just as much as men. The ultimate feat in this day and age is to look like you are not wearing cosmetics at all, to give the illusion that you really are just that perfect. One of the most visible cosmetics today is lip gloss. Women like a glossy lip, they think a perfectly shiny pout is pretty. Men don't generally like it at all! They don't want to kiss a mouth full of goop! Women do this to compete with other women, the males have been bumped down the line lol. Yes, things have changed. I am glad it is not the other way around though because makeup is loads of fun!

It depends. I do a lot of stage makeup on men, for which the technique for applying bases is the same, but obviously you highlight the features in a different way. Eyebrows can be darkened, use highlighter under the eyes, bronzer on the cheeks, clear or brown mascara.
If you have a male client who wants to be made up like a female, then you need to ascertain whether or not he wants a natural female look, in which case you would just do normal makeup on him; or a drag look. If he wants a drag queen look you'll need to do a bit of research, because there's specific styles and 'looks' that are used for this type of makeup. Good luck!

I'd suggest growing a goatee but if you have any facial hair along your jawline/cheeks then shave it. The more facial hair you have along the sides of your face, the narrower your face will look and thusly make your nose look bigger. A goatee will help make your face look a bit longer and therefore make your nose look a bit smaller
Since your nose and ears are exactly the same length (proportion), maybe having your hair long enough to cover them a little bit will detract attention. Plus more hair is a distraction.

I'm definitely okay with men wearing makeup and painting their toenails. I'm not talking about goth or emo stuff though. I guess you could consider me the sorority girl type and I think guys can wear makeup quite appropriately. My boyfriend gets manis and pedis with me and gets his toes painted. Also it's prob the foundation/coverup your talking about and that does do something weird to the skin that makes it's color change. Men don't wear that, so we're not used to it so they just look normal and it's weird.

I've worn much makeup over the years thinking thats how guys wanted to see me, but the truth was, they thought I was a slut and didn't want a girl to cheat on them, and I hated people judging a pure girl like me because of my makeup. One day I wore very very little (foundation and mascara) and every guy said I was hot and many asked me out so i started wearing none, and got the same response. So the plain truth is, we are prettier the way God made us, without makeup.

You can make them look bigger, sexier or even bring out your natural eye color even more. Foundation ';hides'; blemishes or uneven skin tones, giving your face a smooth and even look. Blush is always fun as it adds a pinch of red/pink! At night it's always fun too! I was a tomboy until I turned 20 three years ago. I hated make-up and saw it so superficial, but I am so in love with it now! Women are beautiful with or without makeup. Make up is just fun! Like the frosting, sprinkles, and cherry on top of a cake! I don't know about men wearing make-up though...I guess it would add color to their faces, but what for? I believe they should definitely be groomed though! Those unibrows just don't do it for me!

You can use makeup for men also. My boyfriend uses a little makeup and I love it. Use a little eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow to darken the eyes a little. You might want to get a girl to help you out at first though. Otherwise, you might end up looking like Boy George. Just keep the eyeliner thin and smudge it a little. The mascara should be used to darken the lashes, not really to volumize. Eyeshadow should be a light coat and barely noticeable. The other secrets? Wear sharp clothes. We love men who dress nice!

They use it to give themselves the appearance of being healthy ( a bit of color to the cheeks) and radiant, they can draw attention to strong features such as their eyes. also my skin does not wrinkle. so i guess that depends on ur ethnicity regarding how elastic ur skin is and ur daily diet and exposure to sun.
because men are better than women, therefore women need makeup. all of men are handsome certainly they don't need to do that.
It isn't that they ';need'; make up so much as it is an accepted practice and it covers minor flaws. They use it to give themselves the appearance of being healthy ( a bit of color to the cheeks) and radiant, they can draw attention to strong features such as their eyes. Be thankful that this is a woman thing, I couldn't imagine having to go through this routine every day.

To help with your acne scars, id say you may want to use Neutrogena Face wash to help prevent anymore comming and to help your face stay clean. Wash it with the cleanser everyother nite bc if u wash it every nite with the cleanser it will dry out ur skin. So on the days u dont wash it with the cleanser just take a wash cloft and put water on it and clean ur face.
I wouldnt put anye eye make up on, because tahts just weird for guys to wear eye make up, if u want maybe consider color contacts? Ask your eye doctor and find a color that would make ur eyes ';cooler';.
Other than that id stay away from make up and everything.

According to my philosophy professor that I had in college, it's thought that women started wearing makeup, specifically blush, because it's a sign of arousal. I know, strange, right? He said that when women get aroused, their cheeks naturally blush. Some guys do wear makeup...but they shouldn't!

Most make up brands sell a type of concealer for under the eyes - it needs to be yellow to counteract the dark circles. I use one by no. 7 boots, especially for dark circles. I apply with my fingers - no need for foundation aswell. I also bought from L'Oreal a cream for dark circles, I can't remember what its called but it has a red cream in one side and white the other - after 2 days my eyes already look better!Is there any makeup range for men? I would just get a facial highlighting pen. Then you won't have to worry about covering your entire face, plus it's lightweight. You would want to get your skin tone matched up with it though, so that it's not too light. Good Luck!

There are plenty of mens ranges out there like clinique and nivea who do good anti puff eye creams and intensive treatments, that work well at instant tighting n lightening effects. Iv used these products occasionly n they are ok, but the key iss always loadsa sleep n ddrinking loadsa water and making sure your diet has all the right fruit n veg. There is no instant miracal cure it takes ages to reduce but its better to do the above then just try to cover it.

If you're in the UK, Boots Organics make a great 'First Signs Of Aging' eye cream that has worked wonders for me, also, Clinique make a great cream that you put on a night to reduce dark circles.
Drinking lots of water will help :)

It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

What I would do is get this product in the colour to go with your skin colour and then get a powder compact, I would recommend Boots Naturals Shine control one, and then blend over the foundation under the eyes and then you should be ok ans dark circles covered.
