Help!! My man is interested in seeing what I'd look like w/ makeup but I don't know how to wear it at all?

What would look right with a caramel-chocolate skin tone? I have dry skin, and I don't have even-toned skin... My skin tone can be compared to Queen Latifah or Mary J. Blige's... Basically, I need a makeup 101 class because I don't have female friends like that and I don't have a good female influence to help me through these kind of obstacles.... who can help me??Help!! My man is interested in seeing what I'd look like w/ makeup but I don't know how to wear it at all?
girl my best friend is same complexion and a lil uneveness which is so common with darker woman so for starters try a skin evening oil free foudation medium heaviness to really cover but not drown your face out and for the beginner in makeup a lil goes a long way .so id advise a lengthening yet clean mascara like say maybelline classic or a covergirl lengthing im not sure about any lifting or curling ones if you really are like my friend your lashes already looked curled up so just add a lil color and shine next a medium bronzy brown shadow will do wonders and liner on occasion in black next a bronzer as a blush works well on dark complexions it really picks up the warmth and can also help cover the uneveness next a warm golden or nuetral brown gloss or even clear with shine or hint of glitter finishes this somewhat care free look should take all but 5-8 mins toodles babeHelp!! What you need is to go to the makeup counters at your local shopping centre and ask for help there. Usually they will try the makeup on you so you can make sure it's the look you want to go for. I would definitely get some foundation to even out your tone and I think some gold or bronze colours would look great with your skin tone
well first off you need clean and moisturize your face i would try the garnier sin care line

then use a basic foundation i use maybelline mineral powder just dip the brush in the powder and shake off the extra and basically buff your face with it OR you can use a liquid foundation try true match or really any youd like and dab a little on your fingers and rub them together to warm it up a bit and apply evenly to your face

then find a nice black eyeliner and line your top lash line and the outside half of your bottom then smear it a bit so it doesnt look as harsh

then grab a cream eyeshadow (revlon has some really good ones) and swipe it on your eyelid with your finger i would go for a brown gold tone it will compliment your skin color

then apply some lip gloss and a coat of black mascara

hope i helped

(also you can go to a makeup counter and get it done and that way you can see how its done and what to use)

(and you can also try looking up videos on youtube)
mary kay...? lol i have no idea... im going through sorta thesame situation
Go to a makeup counter and ask them to help you. Tell them you have not done makeup before and ask them to help you do your face. They want the sale. You don't have to buy everything they do. You may want to start off with a few things, and see how you like it.
I'm not good with make-up either. I feel like I'm suffocating! If you go to your local mall or department store there are makeup counters everywhere that are so desperate to sell their product that they will make you up for free and advise you on colours. If you don't think a colour suits you they will usually do it over. Yo\ou can wear this home to your man, and if you like it too then you can by all means go back and buy the products. It is good, even to get a feel of what shades work for you. They are really helpful.
start out with some light make up like bare minerals or some other light powder

then some lip gloss a dark

eye shadow a light color
First things first:

Get a liquid foundation and apply a light coat with a makeup sponge, the wedge looking one.

Then Buff on a powder foundation, in a similar shade, all over.

Then apply a blush, this may be harder to find a shade, I would spend money on that, more than everything else, a good blush is key. Apply it with a BIG brush, just buff it on the apples of your cheeks.

Then put on a light shade of eyeshadow, all over, preferrably with a shimmer.

Then put on a shade, also with a shimmer on your lids. This can be any shade, maybe even one matching your shirt.

Then apply eyeliner. For beginners, shy away from the cat eye look.

Mascara and lip gloss and you are done!

Good Luck!

I reccomend MAC and Cover Girl.
go to one of the department stores that give free make up tips
Get another man. A man has to like u the way you really r OK!!!
You can call or make an appointment at any department store make up counter and they will do your make up for you. They will show you what products to use and how to use it.

I love MAC and that's what I wear, but you can use and try any kind.

You can also go to sites like Youtube and type in Makeup application, and they will SHOW you step by step how to get different looks.

With Youtube, you can stop it and rewind it so, that will help. Watching someone applying make-up while your doing it, will really help you out.

Then before you know it, you will be able to come up with your own look.

Good luck
well since its your first time i wouldnt go too dramatic

-i suggest a gold eyeshadow but only a thin line above the eyelash line

-black eyeliner and mascara

-if you want softer skin i suggest using an exfoliator i recommend ST. IVE APRICOT SCRUB it gently removed dead skin cells while getting rid of dirt and oil and it doesnt dry out your skin!

- im not exactly experience with foundations for your skin colour but my favourite kinds would be COVER GIRL CLEAN MAKE-UP, REVLON COLOURSTAY AND BARE MINERALS

- and of course lipgloss ! use either a clear one, slightly tinted light pink or a slightly tinted brown

hope i helped! :)
you can try the mall,JC penny ,Sears, and Dillards have people in the makeup dept. who can help you they actually put it on you to find best color for you
I would go to the nearest Clinique counter and have them do the makeup. It's free, fun, and they are really good at it. Then he can see you and you can decide if you like it!
