It probably goes all the way back to when makeup was first invented. Men were, and still are most of the time, considered strong, confident, and leaders of the household. Makeup was invented to enhance your features, and to make you more beautiful, which many women wanted. It probably seemed unmasculine of a man to have to use makeup to be considered handsome, because, I suppose people thought that a ';true'; man was naturally handsome, rugged, and strong. Why should real men need to cover up their true selves with makeup? People thought, back in the day, and of course some still do now, that women needed to impress their men and keep them happy, whereas men just needed to protect their women. This belief has continued up to this day, and it would seem absurd for men to go outside wearing red lipstick and blusher now. However, some men do wear makeup now. Those who go for the whole so-called ';emo'; look wear black makeup, and celebrities wear powder, and even eyeliner or mascara, down the red carpet, in order to make themselves more polished. But hey, maybe in the future men will start wearing makeup.
because women are into that stuff and men aren't. makeup gives woman confidence and makes them feel good, while there are other stuff that men do to make themselves more confident and presentable. also because of society, it has long beem accepted for women to wear it, but men are ridiculed if they do. thats not saying men don't do stuff to make themselves look good. they could just let their hair gray and grow out, never shave, never put perfume on, but u don't see most men do that. men are also conscious of their bodies, not only woman. and men care about clothes and style just as much as woman. and most men are very conscious about losing hair. so its not that men don't do anything to make themselves handsome, its just that there isn't as much stuff as woman have. oh, and they don't talk about it as much, its just something they keep to themselves.
I have wondered about that to! I think that it is because beauty products are aimed more towards women because we pay attention to the little things like shiny hair and nice nails and soft skin and long lashes, and are always doing little things to enhance our beauty and make other women jealous. Men on the other hand don't really pay attention to those types of things like pore less skin and defined eyebrows, and I think makeup would also make them sound kinda gay, and they would be made fun of by other men I'm guessing. Also I don't think they really care about making other men jealous.
And another thing, women try to use their beauty to get men,(Not only their beauty, their personalities too, but their looks certainly do help!) and I think that men try to get women with their muscles and sense of humor. They care about what they wear, and how they present themselves, but they don't care as much as women
Women wear makeup because men judge women 80% by how they look. Women care much more about personality and deeper things than looks. Men don't feel the need to impress women just because it's okay in society these days for them to be fat ugly cows because women just throw themselves at anything with a functioning penis.
it's also manly to not be neat, fight in wars, be strong, do hard work, etc. that goes way back, and it still affects us today.
so if a man likes to pay attention to details like how pretty he is, he's not manly.
on the other hand, women have been working in homes, tending the children, and it was always the men who chose the women, so they had nothing better to do than to look pretty. all of this traditional stuff is still here.
you may also ask why women are thought of as traditional housewives with kids and men are thought of as workers, money makers, and fighters. well...honestly, I don't know that one. but I think it's the men's deeper voice that always made them be thought as tougher, so as lots of years went on, they were the tough ones and girls were the pretty, caring ones -- it has to even out, I guess.

Well, I guess it's all because about all the colors of pink,red,and all of those kind of women laughing at them.... and I think that they don't really want colorful eye shadow and lip gloss and the pinkish blush.

i suppose men could wear makeup if they wanted too but society has always told women they have to be beautiful and sold them products to help them with that i guess

I think because it is a feminine thing. Naturally men are masculine, so it does not fit for them. But notice how gay men like to wear makeup, that's because they are more feminine then most men so they enjoy it.
