How come women look all messed up without makeup while most men don't even need it?

Men are only lately starting to try out makeup, face-lifts, skin lotions, and so on. After a while, perhaps men and women can switch places.





Meanwhile, guys who go out in need of a shave, look grubby. Dirty hair, ick! Men do have their moments. Don't kid yourself.How come women look all messed up without makeup while most men don't even need it?
Actually most women look fine without makeup, it's just people have become so used to seeing women wear makeup, that it seems wierd to see a woman without.

well not all of them... you probably grew up with alot of women who wear make up all the time... i tell you what.. its better if you dont practice putting much make up on your face because that causes lot of stuff in your face... wringkles, pimples and stuff... theres alot of girls who dont wear make up but look gorgeous... and girl wear make up sometimes look ugly because they put it too much.. or the eyeshadow dont match the cloths they are wearing

Me personally I never ever wore makeup I never needed it but the ones who do need it boy let me tell you I am glad they invented it because some of them look so messed up. They look that way obviously because they are not pretty. So they wear all that crap to make them look other than who they are. and sometimes that dont help sorry but its the truth
LOL... oh, but some men could benefit from it!!! In South American countries you will find some stunningly beautiful girls with little or no make up.

its called conditioning. we (men and women) have a pre-conceived idea about what women are supposed to look like to be considered attractive. makeup helps most women look more attractive by enhancing their features to look more feminine--dark eyes, smooth clear skin, and dark lips. men dont really need to do this because we have a different idea of what makes a male attractive--more masculine features like a strong nose and chin, and a dark beard and eyebrows.

I have seen many men who could really do with some make up.... i.e concealer and foundation.





I look really childish without makeup and I hate it (I work in a professional field where respect is everything)
It's called being vain and we a pushed all of our lives to think that we need make-up when we don't.

Men don't 'need' it because men are men and customarily do not wear makeup. If they did normally, you'd certainly notice the difference when they did not. Women are 'supposed' to look pretty; men are not really.
women don't look messed up... just different if u're not used to seeing them without it.. and some DO look better without make-up. and i've seen plenty of guys that look like they need it more than us ;D HAHAHAH.

Men are supposed to look rugged and bumpy and imperfect. Women are supposed to be smooth and colorful and all painted up for our men. blah blah blah.





What it is... is men have become SO accustomed to seeing women all decorated and ';perfect';, that when they see them without the camoflauge paint... they see exactly how magical that stuff is. Its not that women looks jacked up without it, its just we look better with it, and men are used to seeing that ';better'; look.
i guess because men dont ever wear makeup. you always see makeup on women, so you get used to it, but when one day they don't wear makeup, its kind of a shock... like,,, wow what happened to your face??


see, thats why i dont wear makeup, it ruins your natrual beauty and when you always wear makeup and then one day you dont, you dont look too good.

Oh, but lots of men DO need makeup. The fact that guys generally don't wear it just means we think that's as good as they're gonna look, and there's no changing. Whereas with girls, makeup has given you a false idea of how we SHOULD look, so we look worse when we don't wear it because we look so good when we do.





Logically speaking.
Well, because men don't use it. If they use it regularly as women, then without it they all look messed up don't they? I think the question you have just asked has it's own answer in it.

because women have always used make up, for 1 reason or another. Men have adapted to the look, anything else looks strange.
Men spend all their money on other 'boosts' to their ego.....
not all women are like that, just some are. men have it soo easy.
Maybe you're used to seeing them with make-up. So without they don't look the same?

Some women are just blessed with nice skin and the natural look works well but some just need to cake it on to look good. That's life!!
I think it's because women are held to a higher standard than men. If you put long hair on a lot of ';attractive'; guys, then they'd make really ugly girls.
...actually ';they'; look quite natural and beautiful without make-up but commerical advertising has completely brain-washed woman into thinking that ';they'; have to use all that face-crap to look attractive for ';us'; guys... but guess what... Woman ';check each other out'; harder then men do... and try to out do one another in the ';war-paint'; department... and the commerical make-up manufacturers of all that ';goop'; are tak'n in the cash by the tons...

if women always have make-up on, and you think theyre pretty then, but ';women look all messed up without makeup';, then you dont think women are pretty, you think the make up is. if you wanna marry and have kids with the pretty makeup, be my guest, but it might not work out so well.
